    Precision Sculpted Internet is the online design studio of Alex Mead (that's me). I was born half black and half Quaker so I guess I was bound to end up as a raging radical freedom fighter eventually (that was supposed to be funny).

    When I was a little boy I wanted to be a comic book artist. My mother didn't think that was such a hot idea (she had nightmares of me becoming a starving artist) so she pushed me toward getting a "salable skill". Since I had a mild interest in computers I was steered toward getting a degree in computers(CIS) from Buffalo State Colege. But I got the last laugh, I have found a way to become a starving computer artist.

    During the 8 (or so) years it took me to get a 4 year degree I wanted nothing more than to become a video game designer. I wanted to be self-employed (keep all the money for myself) so I started up a company called AMProSoft and made a few decent shareware video games and made a lot of really great friends in the process but not very much money.

    In 2001, after a few months of George Bush as president, I started writing anti-aristocracy poetry to voice my displeasure with the U.S. government under the name Green Earth Al. Every day there seemed to be a new offensive against the human family by the Republicans and the Corporations that rule the world so I started making Green Earth Al websites like www.Corporations-Suck.com.

    Then I met the lovely and talented Heather K. (my girlfriend & best friend), through whom I met a lot of local activists and got involved locally in the struggle for social justice. We created the website AllPowerToThePeople.com to document our activism.

    Then the people from Democracy Rising came to Buffalo and I created an online version of their Progressive Directory and started meeting activists nationally through that.

    So , now I'm on a mission to actually make enough money to keep the lights turned on and buy food while helping the good people out there fighting in the streets to bring their ideas to the web. We're living in a unique time. This internet thing is allowing us to communicate directly, person to person, in an unprecedented manner. There is an enormous opportunity to share the ideas that can help everyone to enjoy a higher quality of life. I think that's where my time and talents can best fit in for the struggle to unlock humanity's potential.
